Calgary has a lot of stunning Wedding Venues to offer. There is so much variety from heritage garden retreats to stylish modern wedding venues that couples have a lot of choice in finding something that suits their own style and wedding day vision. I have a long wish list of Calgary Wedding Venues that I can't wait to photograph weddings at.

I wanted to share some photos from just a few of the Calgary Wedding Venues. What Calgary Wedding Venues do you love that I need to add to my wish list?

Bow Valley Ranche is a gem located in the heart of beautiful Fish Creek Park. The stunning historic building offers both outdoor & indoor ceremonies with romantic dinner receptions in their great room which features a gorgeous fireplace. I love that they have a beautiful bridal suite that is the perfect photo op for getting ready photos and allows the bride to get a sneak peek of the guests arriving. You can walk through Fish Creek Park from the front porch of the Bow Valley Ranche for beautiful photo locations year round. This treasure is a perfect oasis in the city with nature out the front door.

River Cafe has long been a place to celebrate special occasions. Located on Prince's Island Park mere steps from the river and surrounded by flowering trees the walk over to River Cafe feels like you are no longer in the city. Beautiful in all seasons this romantic cozy Calgary wedding venue is sure to create a memorable intimate wedding.

Just 45 minutes south of Calgary you'll head down a gravel road and be greeted by the Coutts Centre for Western Canadian Heritage. This magical wedding venue is one that is on my wishlist to be asked to photograph a wedding at.

The Coutts Centre is like stepping into a storybook. The Elm tree lined wedding aisle is gorgeous. There is a handsome barn for receptions with historical chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Cafe lights hang throughout the gardens for that evening glow. Around every corner is a thoughtful garden many the subject of inspiration for painters. I can only imagine how inspiring it is to photograph a wedding there with so many gorgeous spots for photos. There is so much care & love put into the gardens.

Like a lot of people who grew up in Calgary I have very fond childhood memories from days spent at Heritage Park. My Mum took my brother & I a lot when we were kids and as adults Mum would often surprise us with gingerbread men from the bakery. Heritage Park has beautiful outdoor & indoor locations for your wedding ceremony & reception. I love that you get to wander the grounds for photos with incredible backdrops at every step.

I can't wait to get to photograph weddings at Heritage Park! There is so much inspiration there to play with.

As is often the case with us, we learned about Ralph Klein Park when Kevin was out exploring on his bike. This stunning park offers gorgeous huge prairie sky views, a wetland active with stunning birds and a gorgeous modern eco building that you can rent for weddings. The rooftop ceremony patio at Ralph Klein Park is a gorgeous setting!

The historic Deane House in Calgary located along the river boasts a beautiful garden in summer and has an outdoor tent for outdoor dining. Inside the Deane House feels intimate & cozy perfect for an intimate wedding in Calgary. Newly renovated in 2016 the style is modern while honouring the historic home feeling.

Reader's Rock Garden is a hidden gem in the middle of the city with gorgeous gardens. You can rent the gardens for your ceremony or book Reader's Rock Garden just for wedding photos. A magical peaceful garden escape. It's one of those special locations where you can host everything from your ceremony, all your wedding photos & reception all in one place.

Here are just a few Calgary Wedding Venues that are on my wish list that I don't have any photos of yet to share;

  • The Inn on Officer's Garden
  • Charbar Gorgeous rooftop patio with views of the river and handsome brick walls in the historic Simmons Building in the East Village. Perfect location for walking to photo locations.
  • Studio Bell Located in the East Village the stunning architecture is a beautiful modern backdrop. Did you know you can rent the space for photos? I think that would be an ideal back up plan in case the weather doesn't cooperate on your wedding day (must be booked in advance).
  • Rouge A beautiful private backyard with huge trees in Inglewood make this a charming Calgary wedding venue.
  • Lougheed House This stunning 1891 restored Victorian home located in the Beltline offers an elegant wedding venue.
  • Shawnessy Barn An historic 1915 red barn.
