Justine & Randy's adventurous mountain elopement started with a roadtrip from the US up through the Canadian Rockies where they checked into a cabin overlooking Emerald Lake. I love that elopements allow couples to design a day that is true to them and personalize the small details. Justine and Randy spent their wedding morning together reading cards filled with well wishes and love from their families. They got ready in the same cabin but Randy left just as Justine was about to put on her dress. We started the wedding part of their day with a first look followed by a toast in the main lodge before meeting the officiant for their private ceremony at The Viewpoint. We all remarked at how perfect the mountain reflections were in the water that resembled glass. It felt so peaceful. I absolutely LOVED that Justine and Randy walked down their aisle together and stood in front of that beautiful view ready to share vows that they wrote for each other. Vows that inspired tears.
After officially becoming Mr & Mrs the newlyweds cut their wedding cake and shared bites before heading out for photos on their gorgeous wedding day. I was thrilled that Justine and Randy were excited to hike around for photos. Justine traded in her pretty heels for boots and ventured down a muddy wooded trail to a spot we had all to ourselves. It was a truly stunning day at Emerald Lake. After Kevin and I said goodbye to the newlyweds we walked along the lakeshore and took in the views hesitant to leave that beautiful night.
Justine brought with her her Grandmother's wedding garter that is now 65 years old to wear for good luck.
