Emerald Lake delivers in the magical setting department. On our way to Emerald Lake we spotted a beautiful black bear so I knew it was going to be a good day. As we arrived the trees were playing with the fog giving the lake that deep emerald colour that comes from overcast days. It started to pour rain but that didn't phase Kaitlyn and James who called for an outdoor ceremony at the stunning Viewpoint. Kaitlyn and James braved a pre-ceremony rainy canoe ride which was absolutely beautiful with it's perfect reflections. Almost as if on cue the rain cleared just in time for their ceremony. The clouds lifted and the skies brightened revealing gorgeous views as their background to say I do. It was magical!!

James and Kaitlyn's day was filled with their love of family. Kaitlyn wore her mother's wedding dress which she had worn 32 years earlier! That was such a personal and special touch.

A Mother's touch.

We started their day with a private first look followed by a moment of prayer for Kaitlyn and James before heading off to paddle in canoes.

A view of their honeymoon cabin from across the lake.

Kaitlyn ditched her high heels for bare feet so we could hike around the lake for photos.
