Tristan planned the perfect proposal at Lake Louise for his longtime love Erin and she said YES!

Tristan and Erin had been planning their 10 day bucket list trip to the Canadian Rockies for years. Tristan got in touch with me with plans to propose to Erin shortly before they left and asked me to photograph the moment for them. Tristan told Erin that he had booked a mini photo shoot as part of their vacation activities at Lake Louise with a day of hiking to follow. I met them this morning and was so excited to see Lake Louise thawed and the mountains aglow. We started taking photos around the lake before I asked if I could take a few photos of Erin on her own looking out at the Victoria Glacier. While Erin turned around Tristan retrieved the very cleverly hid ringbox from his backpack and surprised Erin with a proposal on the shores of Lake Louise with Victoria Glacier as their backdrop. Erin was so surprised and answered with a series of "Seriously!?!" "Yes!" "Seriously!?!" "Yes!". It was a moving heartfelt moment on a magical morning. It could not of been more perfect.

I absolutely LOVED Tristan's brilliant hiding spot for the ringbox. He used a coffee cup that looks EXACTLY like a camera lens that was packed in his backpack along with the rest of his camera gear for their vacation. It blended in perfectly and escaped Erin's detection.

We started by taking some photos in front of the lake as part of their "vacation photos package".
