Claire & Sharon travelled all the way from the UK with guests flying in from all over the world to join them for their Winter Wonderland destination mountain wedding at Lake Louise. Their day was beyond beautiful with brilliant blue skies, sunshine and fresh snow. It looked like a movie set it was so perfect! Claire and Sharon kept their guests experiences as their top priority. Guests went dog sledding with the soon-to-be Mrs & Mrs before the wedding. On the wedding day they were married with Victoria Glacier as their backdrop led in by bagpipe. After they said I do on the shores of a frozen Lake Louise they immediately greeted their guests with hot chocolate and mulled wine amongst the ice sculptures. Claire and Sharon then invited their guests to join them on a horse drawn sleigh ride to a blue frozen waterfall at the end of Lake Louise. Katie and the team from Mountainscape helped Claire and Sharon plan their day from afar and put it all together on the wedding day so that their day was spent with loved ones soaking in the sun and mountain views.
Guests were welcomed to the mountains with a welcome bag containing all of the essentials for the wedding day. Their mountain wedding bag included mittens and hand warmers with instructions to bring them for the ceremony to keep cozy. Our Alberta climate is very dry so guests were given locally made Rocky Mountain Soap Co. hand butter and chapstick to avoid chapped lips.
We took advantage of the winter sun by starting their day with a First Look on frozen Lake Louise. Doing their photos before the ceremony meant they could join their loved ones for a sleigh ride right after their ceremony.
Claire & Sharon were invited into the stunning ice bar for a "Tipsy Grizzly" and hot cider.

My husband Cliff and myself were so lucky and honoured to be invited to share Claire and Sharon's most amazing and magical wedding day. Kirstie, I have to say your photos are fantastic and having looked at the various weddings you have photographed from your website, you so obviously love your job and I can see why the girls chose you, your pics are just stunning and if we hadn't already been married nearly 30 years then I would want to go to Canada to get married and have you take the photos!! Kind regards, Tracey Hedger
