I had been looking forward to Rachel & Bryan's October wedding at Silvertip Resort ever since their engagement session in Banff. They are couple filled with kindness and an absolute joy to be around. We had an incredibly gorgeous day for their Canmore wedding. The mountain views at Silvertip were stunning for their day! Rachel and Bryan's love of family & friends was infused into every detail on their wedding day. There were so many tear inspiring moments from their ceremony to the amazing speeches their family's shared with stories of how the couple met.

They included some aspects of a traditional Filipino ceremony to honour family tradition. Rachel and Bryan chose 3 couples as "Sponsors" who will act as mentors in their journey through marriage. During the ceremony the Sponsors presented "gifts" to the couple that represented the bonds of marriage. The Veil Sponsors pinned the veil on the couple which signifies clothing of the two individuals as one. A cord was draped over Rachel and Bryan which symbolizes their infinite loving bond. Lastly coins were presented to the couple to represent mutually supporting each other equally.

After we finished taking wedding photos at the Engine bridge in Canmore we walked down the pathway and were delighted to find a herd of elk in the woods. We were momentarily stopped by a huge Mama elk who stood on the pathway between us and our car eating some bushes.

Bryan and Rachel love to stop at the Candy Shoppe on Main Street in Canmore whenever they are in town so it was only fitting that we stop in on their wedding day on the way back to Silvertip for their reception.

Rachel & Bryan are so thoughtful! For dinner every guest was greeted at their seat with a custom engraved place card that included their name and can be used as a coaster at home. Kevin and I were so touched that Rachel and Bryan even had custom place cards engraved for our dinner seats to take home with us. Rachel and Bryan asked if they could drop something off for us just before they left town and I had to laugh because they had returned to their favourite candy shoppe and picked out every orange candy they could find to gift me. When I had mentioned that I hadn't been to that candy shoppe before their wedding day they included a gift card in my care package so I could return and pick out whatever candies I wanted. Perfect editing fuel as I work on their photos!
