Snow in September is certainly not abnormal in Alberta and especially not within Canmore and the surrounding Canadian Rockies. However, it's not always welcome by all so early in the season but Kirstie and I are always so happy to see the snow fly for the first time as it gives us a preview into our favourite season here in the Bow Valley. We have had an incredible couple of days of early snowfall and along with our dogs we took full advantage of the clash of these two seasons. I love how the fall colour becomes so vibrant against the beautiful fresh snow. Snow in September is typically quite fleeting as autumn will make a comeback before winter really sets in on the Canadian Rockies and Kirstie and I and the pups always welcome it with open arms, with such excitement as if it is the first snowfall we've ever seen. You will always find us enjoying this phenomenon that we call Snowtember every year if we are lucky enough to get what we got this past amazing and wonderful weekend!
